Low-Histamine Mango Ice Cream

Struggling with histamine intolerance and stuck on what to eat? Here's a yummy (and super easy!) sweet treat to keep you happy :)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen mango
  • ½ cup coconut milk
  • 1-2 tbsp organic raw honey

Directions

  1. Pour frozen mango into a high speed blender or food processor (I use my Thermomix, but any high-speed blender/processor will work).
  2. Add coconut milk and honey to the mango and turn the blender on high. If the blender is struggling, add another tablespoon or two of coconut milk.
  3. Blend on high until the mixture is creamy and has a consistent texture.
  4. Spoon into a bowl and enjoy immediately.

Seafood Coconut Soup

Are you on our Anti-Candida Healing Nutrition Plan and looking for a compliant-friendly meal to spice things up? Give this delicious soup a try! I made this the other week to take to a family pot-luck dinner, and it was an absolute hit.

(Funny side story...I've actually tried making this soup in our slow cooker. But it wasn't cooking in time, so I grabbed the ceramic slow cooker pot and chucked it on our gas stove and cranked up the heat. DO NOT DO THIS...EVER! After about 5 minutes, the ceramic pop CRACKED clear around the whole pot and the soup started seeping out onto the stove. GAHHH!!! Lol. Raspberry Brownie

Put your hand up if you LOVE brownies?! I sure do! 

This Raspberry Brownie is lushes and rich, and delectably moist. It's gluten-free, dairy-free, and Adrenal Diet friendly (after the initial 2-week blood-sugar reset elimination - just don't eat the whole tray, haha!).

Raspberry Brownie

Ingredients

  • cup coconut oil, melted and cooled
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup coconut sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence
  • cup raw cacao powder
  • 1 cup almond meal
  • pinch of sea salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • cup chocolate chips (dairy free)
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries, roughly chopped
 

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Line a baking pan with baking paper.
  3. In a bowl, whisk the eggs, then add in the cooled coconut oil, coconut sugar and vanilla and mix together.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until combined. Add the chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of the frozen raspberries and stir through.

Why We Combine Healing with Coaching

There was a time when Chris & I worked apart - Chris with his coaching, myself with my healing. There were certain clients, however, that just weren't getting results.

For example, as great as Chris's mindset coaching skills are, some clients had some serious physiological imbalances that were majorly affecting their motivation, mood and fatigue, that made making changes near impossible. There were also some clients who had physiological imbalances that led to addictive thoughts and behaviour - as much as Chris tried to shift a person's mindset to enable change, those addictions were just too strong.

On the other hand, although I have pretty kick-butt testing analysis skills and clinical nutritional knowledge to reverse physiological imbalances (if I do say so myself, haha), some clients needed more coaching and support to overcome mind-blocks and stay on track with treatment plans. Self-Sabotaging Your Good Intentions?

You know what you should be doing, right? But WHY do you keep self-sabotaging your good intentions again...and again...and again?!
 
Many of our clients come to us stuck in this vicious cycle of seeking momentary pleasure, followed by periods of guilt, shame and pain.

- Trying to eat healthy, but feeling so deprived, that you chow down a tub of ice-cream.
- Knowing you feel better when you're in bed by 10pm, but you keep getting sucked in to that show on Netflix.
- Trying to carve out more time for exercise, but you continue sitting on the couch flicking through social media as it's so much more comfortable.
 
People who continually self-sabotage don't just self-sabotage for no reason. You may be reaching out for sweet stuff because there is little sweetness in your life. You may lose yourself in Netflix because you are trying to escape from your own miserable or mundane life.
