Until You Put Your Health First, Nothing Will Change

Hey high-achieving Mumma, juggling all the things!

Right now, you’re probably feeling overwhelmed. Your life feels a bit chaotic. And it’s showing up in your body - energy is dropping. You’re snappy and irritable all the time. Your gut feels bloated, or your skin is flaring up, or you feel like an emotional wreck leading up to your period. Does that sound about right?

You’re also likely confused about what is causing your health issues. You’re uncertain about what you should be doing to fix things.

What if we had something that could turn your Confusion into Clarity. Your Overwhelm into Calm. Your Chaos into Control. Your Uncertainty into Confidence?

You would take it, right?

There are two options:

  1. Keep doing the same thing

It just all seems too hard. You don't know where to start. Maybe you've tried in the past to seek help, with little results. Maybe you're scared to invest your money into something that might not 'work.' Maybe changing feels like too much of a gamble. Maybe you don't have enough time or energy to do the hard work of healing. Maybe you're hoping for a 'quick-fix' so you jump from doctor to doctor, or supplement to supplement, trying to get a cheap, quick fix. Maybe you don't value yourself enough to give yourself the space to heal. Maybe you don't believe you can heal. Maybe you think you are destined to stay miserable and inflamed forever. 

There are many stories we tell ourselves when we're faced with an opportunity to heal. Remember: these are just STORIES. All stories are fictitious (even what is thought to be 'true' ones). Why? Because the storyteller (you) is speaking from a subjective point of view. Your lens is tainted by your own experiences, thoughts, and beliefs. 

If you continue to stay stuck in your unproductive stories, one of two things will happen:

  1. a) Either you will keep doing the same thing and you will remain the same. You'll continue feeling overwhelmed and anxious. You'll continue to struggle to sleep. You'll continue to drag yourself throughout the day because you're so fatigued. You'll continue being plagued with heartburn or bloating or chronic pain. You'll continue to struggle with PMS or painful periods. You'll continue to be irritable, and snappy towards your family. And foggy throughout work.
  2. b) Or, you will keep doing the same thing and...get worse! Suddenly you'll find yourself on a restrictive diet because you're reacting to almost every food - even healthy ones. You'll have to drop down to two days a week of work (or give up your business or career completely!) because you're struggling to get through the day. You'll find your marriage at the edge of a break-up because you're such a 'monster' to be around. You'll start hating being around your children because you're so exhausted and on the brink of falling apart; their energy and neediness irritate you. 

Not a pretty picture, is it? If you are anything like how I used to be, it was these fears of not just my body falling apart (even more so!), but also my family and my life falling apart that pushed me towards change.  I knew if I didn't do something, I would end up far worse than my already unhappy and chaotic state.

 

  1. Do something different

The second option: you could do something different, and get a different (and better) result! I know this may seem scary. I know you may feel like you've tried many times. But if you stay stuck in your current state of being, nothing will change - at least not for the better.

Chris and I have both been on our own healing journeys. We know what it feels like to feel stressed-out and worn-out, and all the physical and emotional symptoms that come along with this state of being. We know what to do - and what it takes - to heal from the body. Not just from a practitioner point of view (for which we have spent over $250,000 on our education, and have studied and practiced for over a combined 20+ years), but also from a very visceral and personal point of view. We were in the trenches too!
