Our ultimate purpose with every client that we work with, and every person that we touch, is to help you get into FLOW.

FLOW is a term we use in our Ending Body Burnout Method, to determine if you are doing the things you need to do in order to be healthy and end your body burnout for good…AND feel joy and happiness along the way.

This is the winning state to be in - the state which will keep you steadfast on the track to your health and life goals. We know it can be hard, sometimes, to do the things you need to do to heal your body systems, but when you’re finding joy and pleasure in doing the things you need to do, it becomes part of your being, part of who you are, and you embody a healthy lifestyle. 

For example, you eat a nourishing diet AND love the food you choose to eat. Or you’ve nutted out the perfect movement plan for you, that you enjoy doing (exercise feels like play!) AND that doesn’t hurt your joints or cause more fatigue or burnout.

Or are you FLOUNDERING? 

FLOUNDERING is a nasty place to be in. It's where you're in a state of fight-flight-freeze-or-facade. It's a place of stress, overwhelm & pain. You're not doing the things you need to do in order to be healthy AND you're feeling pain. The pain could be coming from your physical symptoms AND/OR your emotional state of discomfort, anxiety, guilt, or shame.

You’re either fighting against the messages your body is screaming at you (the headaches, the bloating, the debilitating fatigue). You’re fighting through it. Or you’re literally fighting against other people, causing you more stress and overwhelm.

Or you’re stuck in flight. You’re running away from your problems. You’re feeling the debilitating effects of your body burnout, you even have people showing you the way to overcome your symptoms, willing and able to help you, but you’re running away because it’s too hard, or too expensive, or not the right time, or you’re too busy, or whatever.

Freeze. STOP. You have the treatment plan in your hand. But you just can’t get motivated, you just can’t break through the invisible wall holding you back from reclaiming your health.

Facade. Are you pretending everything is alright? You know you’re struggling with anxiety, it’s eating you away inside. Yet you keep putting on a brave face, a big smile, and you continue parenting and working, and telling everyone you’re ‘fine’. When really, you’re crumbling inside.

Are You In FORCE?

Or are you in FORCE?

FORCE is where you are doing the things you need to do to be healthy or to heal your body systems, but you're forcing things and burning out. This often occurs in people who are rushing around, doing one hundred million things a day. The high-achievers. The perfectionists. The addicted-doers. This will always lead to further physical and mental pain, even if you're trying hard to 'do' the things you need to do to be healthy.

This can show up as forcing sleep. You’re trying SO HARD to fall asleep. You’re doing the guided meditation apps, the shakti mat, the Epsom salt baths, the deep breathing, yet you’re so focused on getting to sleep that you work yourself up and get stuck in a state of panic and insomnia. Or you’re trying to eat a restricted diet to heal SIBO, for example, but you’re hating the meals you’re making so much, and feeling so deprived, that you quickly flip from FORCE to FANTASY, trying to find pleasure to take away the pain (see next point).

Are You In FANTASY Land?

Or are you in FANTASY land? 

Fantasisers are people who think and feel and be a lot but don't necessarily DO the things they need to do to be healthy. They prefer pleasure overdoing the healthy things - i.e. eating yummy food, staying up late watching movies, partying with friends, having fun on the weekend to the expense of preparing to get organised for the week ahead. These people like quick gratification - a hit of chocolate, drive-through takeaway, wine at night. 

Fantisisers can also show up as the 'being' type of people who journal, meditate, do yoga, and think a lot, but don't actually DO the other things that will move them towards optimal health. Like meal planning, setting and ticking off goals, taking natural medicines, turning up to health-related appointments, setting up their environment for success. People who are too much in the ‘being’ state, struggle to implement and therefore struggle to tick-off the ‘to-do’s’ to end body burnout for good.

Chris’s own passion for producing high-performance Power Parents came from his own personal experience of Daddy Burnout, after juggling the demands of business, elite level sport, family, and his own failing health.
