Porridge with Diced Paw-Paw

Who doesn't love a nice warm bowl of porridge on a cold winter's morning?! Here's a simple recipe with a tropical paw-paw hit (just to bring back the summer vibes...lol!). It's also low-salicylate friendly, for those currently working through chemical sensitivities 🥣✨

PREPARATION TIME: 5 minutes
COOKING TIME: 10 minutes

 

INGREDIENTS:

 

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup diced paw-paw
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seeds

 

METHOD:

  • In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the rolled oats and milk.
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture comes to a boil.
  • Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are tender and the mixture has thickened.
  • Divide the porridge into two bowls and top with diced paw-paw and sunflower seeds.
