Kitchen Clear-Out 101

I want to chat a bit more in my blog post today about Kitchen Clear-Out, and why it’s so important. 

Food is either medicine - or poison. In order to heal from energy, mood, and/or gut issues, you have to surround yourself with good stuff…and purge the stuff that’s holding you back. Get the garbage bags and compost bin ready!

Our experience with clients, especially those in the early phases of changing eating habits, is that eventually, you will eat whatever is lying around in your fridge/cupboards (the good and the bad…but usually the bad!). Even if you’re in a really good flow with healthy eating, and you feel like you have good self-control around inflammatory foods, do you really want to be purchasing processed junk for your kids and partner to eat? 

 

Heal Thy Environment 

When we work with clients to rebalance body system burnout, we don’t just prescribe supps and a diet. We also take them through the root causes of body burnout, which revolve around our 3 Healing Principles: Body, Mind & Environment.

The environment is incredibly important when it comes to restoring your body with good nutrition. 

Have you ever been given a meal plan or a healing diet, and have failed to implement it? Or maybe you’ve given it a good crack, but you keep digging into the ice cream at the back of the fridge?

If your kitchen (environment) is not set up for success, it can be really hard to implement and follow through with healthy eating - especially long-term. So in order to change the way you eat, you first need to ‘heal thy environment’ - or in other words, give your kitchen a good clearout and makeover!
