3 Uncommon Ways To Reboot Energy

Every working Mum wants to have more energy and feel great so that she can juggle the demands of work and family with joy and ease!

But the reality is most Mumma’s are feeling totally burned out and dying to get their own energy back.

Quick Fixes Don’t Work

Normally when busy Mums are experiencing low energy they look for quick energy fixes, things they can drink or eat (like caffeine or sugar) in attempts to get “more energy”.

When none of these tactics work, they can start to feel more drained than ever!

They may try to get to bed earlier or even add in some more exercise to “pep” them up, but what they don’t know is that there are key hormonal and mindset blocks that are holding their energy hostage.

3 Things That Can Drain Your Energy

  1. One of the first things we tell burnt-out clients is to “stop exercising so hard”! It may sound counterintuitive but when someone is already experiencing exhaustion usually their adrenals are incredibly stressed. Rigorous exercise can make matters worse and just leave them feeling even more drained, with nothing left in the tank to give to their family (which of course shadows them with energy-sapping Mummy guilt!).
  1. The next thing we say is “stop being very restrictive around calories”!  It’s much more about what you eat vs the calorie content.
  2. Lastly, pay attention to where your focus is. Your energy flows where your attention goes as dictated by your intention. So if you're placing your attention on things that are a high priority for you, and that you don't value highly (like maybe work over playing with your kids?), and that you don't believe in wholeheartedly, you're going to be tearing yourself into pieces, just to be able to do these things. 

Getting clear on what's important to you is actually liberating because you can then let go of the dead weight that is draining your energy.

You can start living your life on purpose, you can start having passion, you can then have your attention and your focus on what you love and what you want and what's going to bring meaning to your life. And pretty much every mother we have worked with has said: it is their kids! Their kids are their everything! And in order to rise up and be the best present, loving Mum that you can be, you need to fill your tank FIRST so that you can freely and vibrantly give to your children.

And this is not just airy, fairy fluffy stuff. It’s literally that you're doing what you want to do. And you're not doing what other people want you to do, or what you think you should be doing, which in itself is energy draining.
